Continuing to Deliver the Freshest Greens in 2021

Insider

As 2021 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect and recap on what has been happening here at the farm. This year has been an exciting one at Living Greens Farm. We've expanded our LGF family with new hires and added new locations so your family has a store by you to pick up the freshest greens on the planet.

But that's not all — listen to all of our highlights and get a sneak peek of what the future holds in our video below!

Hi, I’m George Pastrana, CEO and President here at Living Greens Farm. As the year comes to an end and we look forward to 2022, we’ve been reflecting. We had an exciting and expansive year here at the Farm! I’m grateful to have the opportunity today to give you a little insight into how we spent the year and what the future holds for our team.

Working Around Mother Nature

Mother Nature didn’t hold back in 2021. Across the country, we experienced fires, tornadoes, droughts and floods — but Living Greens Farm was able to weather the storms. All of our lettuce, microgreens, and herbs were grown at our indoor farm, allowing us to give our greens the care they needed in a safe environment rather than be subjected to the elements. We grew over 500,000 pounds of fresh greens this year — and, as always, our lettuce was delivered to stores within 24 hours after harvest, ensuring that the greens on your table were crisp, fresh, and great-tasting.

Delivering Products for Every Taste

But it’s not enough just to give you fresh food. It’s important to us to provide bagged salads that will make everyday healthy eating simple, fun, and delicious. That’s why we released our newest bagged salad — the Zesty Italian — to add variety to your lunch and dinners! The kit is in stores now, so make sure you check out our tasty take on the classic Italian salad.

Living Greens Farm Growing Family

And as we expand our product line, we’ve also expanded the Living Greens Farm community.  You can now find us at hundreds of stores across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois, including some familiar names like Whole Foods, Walmart, Jerry’s, Fresh Thyme Market, and many more! And this is just the beginning — as we continue to grow, keep an eye out for our bagged salads and fresh herbs in a number of stores near you.

None of this would be possible without our team. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with everyone at Living Greens Farm, and we expanded our family in 2021! It’s been a pleasure working with and getting to know our latest team members. Dan Olson, VP of Sales; Melanie Faust, VP of Supply Chain; and Adam Hauser, our new CFO. In the few months since they have joined, all three have already made a positive impact on the team!

So, here’s to 2021! May 2022 be even better.
